Now Hiring: 2021 Administrative Program Assistant

We are currently seeking a Part Time Administrative Assistant to work under the direction of our Executive Director at our North Grafton location. The ideal candidate will have basic computer skills, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have the ability to illustrate strong organizational/follow up skills.

Schedule: This is a part time, year-round position at our Grafton location working 10-15 hours per week -(exact days/schedule flexible). 

Compensation: $18-20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience

Location: Primarily on-site with some remote work

Job Description: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing the office and maintaining all necessary functions to ensure the organization can achieve its mission of engaging and educating volunteers to grow fresh fruits and vegetables for hunger relief. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Office Management
    • Manage all services needed for functioning workspace, including but not limited to utilities, phone, internet, and EZPass
    • Order printed materials and merchandise, including business cards, brochures, flyers, and apparel
    • Process HR paperwork for new employees and update information as needed
    • Schedule meetings and send invitations (Zoom and in person)
    • Research new services and programs related to office management as needed
  • Bookkeeping and Development
    • Assist Development Coordinator with processing of cash receipts, credit card donations and check deposits
    • Maintain accuracy and consistency of donor and corporate information
    • Thank donors through personal phone calls and routine acknowledgement letters
  • Facilities management
    • Assistance with booking event space
    • Event space walk throughs
    • Permit filing and inspection scheduling
  • Website management
    • Be the primary manager for all website content, making updates throughout the year as programs, events and campaigns change
  • Other administrative tasks as they arise

Specific Qualifications Include:

  • Knowledge of Google and Windows Suite 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills 
  • Organizational skills
  • Positive, self-starting attitude 
  • Cloud based platform experience a plus, preferably Salesforce
  • Knowledge of WordPress a plus   

Community Harvest Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with locations in North Grafton and Harvard, MA. Our mission is to engage and educate volunteers to grow fresh fruits and vegetables for hunger relief. Each year our sites host over 7,000 volunteers who work together to grow and donate an 

average of 270,000 pounds of produce to local hunger relief agencies such as the Worcester County Food Bank, Community Servings, and more.
